Thank you for this. I’ve had my reef mat in place in my 425 g2 for a year and while doing maintenance today I rerouted mine like yours. Much more roof in there without all the hose and that glass panel. These videos are really helpful. I recommend you add some lights inside your sump for both video clarity and to help you work in the sump.

How often should you disassemble and clean out the down flow diaphragm valve?

Wifi power strip is junk love hydros but the wifi power strip dont waste your money. Get the xp8 and save you getting headaches from the wifi power strip dropping out from time to time that is not good.

Wish I knew what to do when problems arise, instead of “link successful” i almost always get “link time out”

Well, my clown fish battled my flame angle until I sent them to fish jail.

Accuracy is the most important test who cares how easy and cheap if it's inaccurate. API is junk and doesn't seem to work at all compared to the Salifert test kit I compared it to. The Salifert read 50ppm while the API still says zero.

13:36 I have to admit I am impressed with Hydros. I think Neptune Systems fell asleep at the wheel and didn’t see Hydros coming. I am a Neptune Apex user and if my head unit goes out again, I will definitely consider switching to Hydros.

These heaters suck. Can't even connect with the QR code. Plus the top of the heater has to be out of the water to work. Do not buy this garbage heater.

Great advice Hilary! I bought a couple wifi cameras so I can check on my tanks when I am not home. It’s helps calm the anxiety when you are away on vacation wondering how you tanks are doing.
